“Best Friends”
A Comedy in two Acts
(5m/2f) Unit set
BEST FRIENDS is a fast, funny and touching evening in the theatre about the strength of friendship. Hal Hart and Murray Young are two retired Broadway musical comedy actors. Best friends since they were five, the two septuagenarian widowers face their twilight years and all the crises that descend upon them with humor and heart.
BEST FRIENDS will remind you of years past when you left a Neil Simon play thinking, “I really had a good time!”

WHAT THE CRITICS SAID:
"A First Rate Production" -- Trenton Times
"'Best Friends' is a good natured Story about caring that will not fail to entertain...A warm hearted and poignant play. Mr. Carr has loaded the play with enough good humor and warm feelings to last us for an entire year" -- Montgomery Newspapers
"'Best Friends' is a delightful play with an important reminder; No matter how old we get, we'll always be young at heart. With police chases, daring rescues and the special bond that only best friends share, Hal and Murray discover that friendship knows no limits and that love is everlasting." -- Courier Times
"Snappy repartee...'The Sunshine Boys' go rustic. Th eplay has...old fashioned charm that keeps you rooting for it" -- Philadelphia Inquirer
"'Best Friends' is a light Neil Simonesque comedy filled with snappy dialogue, a lot of very funny one liners...and a sentimental teardrop of two. Carr's Script is often very funny. He has a nice light touch knowing how and when to use a quick unobtrusive joke, not only to get a laugh, but also to build character." -- Princeton's US 1 Newspapers
"Hilarious...an old fashioned, leisurely comedy full of quips and jokes and an underlying humanity. 'Best Friends' will likely be a regional theatre and community theatre favorite...and amuse audiences for a long time to come -- Bristol Pilot
