A CAPITOL CHRISTMAS! is set in 1933 Washington, D.C. The country is in the depths of the Great Depression, but there’s new hope for the country. Franklin Roosevelt is President. When First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, stops at a corner to buy an apple from Maggie Malone, it begins a magical journey that turns Capitol Hill into a flurry of activity. As Maggie sings, “If you believe in miracles large or small/ then all you have to do/ to make your dreams come true/ is buy an apple from me.
