(author-composer-lyricist) (Hunterdon Harmonizers). He has written additional material for Chita Rivera (CHITA-AND ALL THAT JAZZ)
Mr. Carr’s Broadway credits include, HELLO, DOLLY! Starring Carol Channing, MOON OVER BUFFALO starring Carol Burnett and Phillip Bosco, JEKYLL AND HYDE, CATS, GUYS AND DOLLS, THE REAL THING starring Jeremy Irons, MASTER HAROLD AND THE BOYS starring James Earl Jones BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS and JACK---A NIGHT ON THE TOWN WITH JOHN BARRYMORE” starring Nicol Williamson among others.
National tours include BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS starring Ann-Margret, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF starring Topol, HELLO, DOLLY1 starring Carol Channing, CATS, SOUTH PACIFIC starring Robert Goulet, THE MUSIC MAN starring John Davidson, DEATHTRAP starring Elliot Gould and Mariette Hartley (succeed by Cindy Williams) and CHITA AND ALL THAT JAZZ starring Chita Rivera among others.
He directed the national tours of SINGIN THE RAIN, A COUPLA’ WHITE CHICKS Starring Elizabeth Ashley and Sandy Dennis and CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD as Directing and choreographing regional and stock productions of HELLO, DOLLY!, CHICAGO, CAMELOT, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, THE MUSIC MAN, THEY’RE PLAYING OUR SONG, AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ (five productions)
Mr. Carr was co-producer for the Los Angeles Company of THE WONDER YEARS (a baby boom musical revue) and the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama-logue Award for “Excellence in the Theatre”
Future projects include the UK production of GETTING TO KNOW YOU starring Millicent Martin and a new play, GRAND ALLIANCE.
